DHAKA: At small figure persons werekilled and 30 others scraped when digit traveller trains collided at easternBangladesh on Wednesday, officials and witnesses said.

They said theaccident occurred as digit of the trains impact added at the Ashuganj junction,some 80 kilometres easterly of the top Dhaka.

Railway spokesmanShafique Ahmed Khan said the Noakhali Express, which was feat to southeasternNoakhali from Dhaka, impact the north Sylhet-bound inter-city UpapanExpress, ending octad grouping on the spot.

He said the engine of theNoakhali Express and fivesome compartments of the digit trains were seriously damaged. Theinjured passengers were hurried to assorted hospitals.

Witnessessaid a ordinal mortal died at a topical infirmary as he was existence treated.
