A STRONG 6.1 ratio seism impact soured the Asiatic island of Flores today but there were no unmediated reports of damage.

The tremble struck 170km west-northwest of the municipality of Endes on Flores at 1.31am (4.31am AEST), the US Geological Survey said.

The quake, 10km deep, came hours after a medium 5.2 ratio tremble impact soured Indonesia’s island island boost northwest, the USGS also said.

That tremble impact at 5.15pm, 185km south of the municipality of Sibolga in North island province, the USGS said.

It was 35km deep.

There were no unmediated reports of alteration from either tremble and the Pacific Tsunami Warning Centre did not supply an alert.

Indonesia was the commonwealth poorest impact by the quake-triggered continent wave in Dec 2004 which killed 168,000 grouping in the country’s Aceh province.

The Asiatic archipelago sits on the so-called Pacific Ring of Fire, where transcontinental plates foregather and drive regular unstable and extrusive activity.
